Heres another wee rant while am at it... I’m Bitter taegether. (Call me a racist, a don’t give a Sh*t) Many Scots moved down to Englandshire, having to leave their own home town, No work up here for them, as London governments had slowly closed our industries down. They had to feed their families, getting any work that they could find, But one thing that is for sure, on leaving Scotland they left their hearts behind. I have a son who works down there and I miss him so very much, he’s working crazy hours, so its hard for him to keep in touch. But when I last spoke to him he was sounding quite upset, because in our referendum, the chance tae vote he did not get. Treated like an outcast, not allowed to have his say, he wanted so much for us to have our very own independence day. But one thing I can tell ye, that truly sticks in his throat, are the thousands of English immigrants and students that were allowed tae vote. Now many at this point will tell me am talkin shit, But where were their votes goin, many just wont admit. They moved up here with loads of cash, found a nice place to retire, And pushed the price o houses up, now tell me I’m a liar. Now ye may say that I’m being bitter and some might not agree, But out of many thousands of English folk, how many wanted Scotland to be free. They moved up here from Englandshire an it wasn’t for the weather they were thinking of dear old Engerland, voted NO, preferring us to be taegether. ©harlie.
