Heres how my morning started out dad calls bout 7:30 has two first calf heifers looks like theyre having trouble calving one actually barrel rolled down the hill into the fence struggling so hard dad almost had to cut fence to free her, other one nothing even showing yet. So I haul ass up there throw a rope on the closest one snub her to a tree while dodging her attitude, hooves & snot flying etc.... we get to work on her pull that one its fine & alert but mom wants nothing to do with the calf shes so pissed off at us, well deal with that later we got another one to get to. Dad and I run across field to other one calf half out hung by hips bawling looks like we got a fighter here that heifers down she seems gentle no rope needed calfs out except hips put two calf chains & handles on front feet dad and I pull done deal mamas exhausted so we get her legs under her straighten her up & let her rest. We clean up a little go feed rest of fields now find one with scours & pneumonia rope & doctor. Tis the season yall happy Saturday my friends!
