Heres how the first 13 hours back home in New Jersey have gone for - TopicsExpress

Heres how the first 13 hours back home in New Jersey have gone for Kelly and me: We waited an hour for our luggage to come out. Then we got to our car and the battery was dead. It took us another hour in the rain to finally get it jumped. I only caught the tail end of the second game and the Steelers lost (there goes the dream of Dominic and me going to the Super Bowl together). Then on my run this morning some guy yelled at me and called me a jerk off and an asshole because Shea was sniffing at his fence. The me from 15 to 20 years ago would have taken all this as a sign that 2015 is going to be a BAD year. But the me from today says, Ok 2015 if you really want to get to me youre going to have to do better than that. Cause every one of these instances has a yeah but answer. Our luggage took an hour to come out? Yeah, but we didnt have a connecting flight or anything specific to get home to. Our battery was dead? Yeah, but there were two guys at the parking lot who were huge helps. We should have been home at about 7 but didnt get home till 10? Yeah, but Elaine had Chinese food for us and our doggies were still excited to see us. The Steelers lost? Yeah but usually one home team loses in this round and well, enough said. I got yelled at on my run today? Yeah, but I still had a pain free run and besides, that guy obviously has some anger issues hes dealing with that I know nothing about so instead of firing back at him I wished him a sincere Happy New Year (his reply, yeah, happy new year asshole). So heres to finding the silver lining this year. The beauty in the snow storm. The WKIP spin that Marcello and I are always talking about. The yeah, but answer to every situation. Heres to an exciting day today with a bridal show and a Cowboys playoff game. I hope I dont have any more yeah, but moments today but if I do Im armed and ready.
