Heres my 3 am rant: on the news they were joking about how it has ONLY taken 6 years to get the unemployment numbers back to where they were right before Bush left office. This being the case only if you dont take into account the increase of population. I think I stand by my theory of if they were to lower the gasoline prices down between $1.50-2.00 the economy would almost fix itself. People would have more money in their pocket after leaving the pumps. Chances are they just might travel and generally traveling requires people to spend money. Even if they are just buying snacks. Doing this would also make it easier to travel for those who like to drive places. It would cost less to run trucks across the country which we would hope would lower the price of groceries and other goods. It would lower the price to operate farm equipment and construction equipment. Lowering the price of construction equipment might help general contractors and they will be able to build more homes. People who need to upgrade their car wont feel the squeeze as bad when picking a suburban over a van. It will create a snowball effect and for the most part improve things on their own. Does this seem too of the mark here? After all, it is 3 am-ish. Just a thought.
