Heres my Mac-n- cheese Pie 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni 8 cups SHARP shredded cheddar, sharper = better! 2-4 eggs 2 cans evaporated milk whole milk salt pepper paprika butter Heat oven to 350f. Grease a lrg casserole dish with butter, the deeper the dish the better. Cook macaroni until tender, drain well! Put a small layer of macaroni in bottom of dish, top with about 2 handfulls of cheese and dont be shy! Salt, pepper, paprika and dot with butter. Repeat until dish is full or run out of cheese and macaroni. Before you season the top of dish, blend eggs and milk together and pour over pie. Should just be able to see liquid at the sides. Dot with butter then season. Cook ABOUT 1 1/2hrs until golden and bubbly and the egg/milk mixture is set. Some like more eggs than others, I like to use about 4 lrg eggs in mine. Sometimes more it just depends. Allow the pie to rest and cool a little before serving. The key to making this taste really good is using PLENTY of SHARP CHEDDAR!
