Heres my current brick wall; Ive searched for years for the parents of my Great Grandmother, Linnie Lenora Moody Stapleton (1882-1956), Last year I had a fabulous breakthrough and found someone researching the Moody family as well with some proof of Linnies father, let me just say that there were a lot of tears after receiving those emails and documents! Her father was Baron D Moody and in most documents he goes by only B D. He had three children with his first wife, Walter, Frank (Farron) and Linnie and then three more with his second wife (Mary L Pearson?) Baron Monroe, Julia, and Allene. Barron was born in Arkansas 2/17/1863 and died in Dallas 10/7/1912. The write up about him from the oddfellows only says that his first wife died young, but gives no other information. His obituary doesnt mention the first wife at all. He moved to Dallas 23 years before his death, according to the write up, 1889ish, but he lived elsewhere in texas before that as Linnie was born in Texas. On the birth certificate of one of Franks children it says that Frank was born in Eastland County Texas, so possibly Linnie was born there too and Ive started to explore that area. I know this is long but I hope it makes sense, if anyone has any thoughts or ideas about how to find Barons first wife I would be really grateful!
