Heres my review for The Guardians- written by Todd Black: I think that Guardians #0 delivers an emotional feel to the two Guardians, without having to go through multiple issues. It delivers a straight forward insight into the two beings, and also their origins. I love the idea of the Guardians being tasked to protect a city that is crumbling under its crime, and that the civilians are crying out for help, thus resulting in the creation of the Guardians. The pilot chapter gives us a sense as to what is to come within the future, having already told us that the Guardians have a mission to accomplish, and they will watch over and protect its occupants whatever the cost- this shows that the creator really wants to make this city shine out, and that this city is worth saving because of its abilities. Both Guardians have a certain power: Element has the abilities to both control and create fire, ice and lightening- the gifts of the Earth, and Chaos has the ability to control darkness. These abilities remark the human race, it has to ability to control and create, but it has the power to manifest darkness and the evil it brings, but it is necessary to develop our species. The science and thought of this story is remarkable, and I shall definitely be sticking around for #1!
