Heres my thing: You can think Chris Kyle was a great guy and choose to not think critically about him or our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Honestly, you can do that and feel any way you want. Because though we disagree, Im going to assume you have reached your feelings by informing yourself. BUT if you choose to lash out at those critical of Kyle or the film American Sniper, and start spouting off for the need of others to leave the country or shut up because theyve never been in a war, or any of the other garbage out there questioning patriotism or values or whatever, you need to check yourself. You need to step and look at the mindless reactionary person you are becoming. Some radical Muslims go around and shoot people and blow up buildings and engage in beheadings not because their religion is inferior. Or because they are savages. Its because they think no farther than mindless slogans. Its because they believe in soundbites and righteous anger and think their intolerance justified. If youre out there advocating the shooting of Michael Moore or telling Max Blumenthal to leave the country youre one step removed from terrorist. Youre a reactionary loudmouth looking to intimidate those with whom you do not agree. Youre not supporting a hero. Youre simply adding a little more clutter to a world too-polluted with small minds and big mouths and dreams of pulling a trigger.
