Heres my u suck as a person rant of the day...and Im not sorry for pissing anyone off for this one; -if u cannot/will not commit 10-20 years owning a pet...keeping it safe, healthy, sheltered, and vetted.....DONT GET ONE -if u choose to move to a non-pet friendly apartment/rental and leave behind ur pet, or worse take to a shelter....u r a horrible person. I have 3 cats and have always found an apt willing to accept them all. The rentals exist. Maybe u just arent looking hard enough. -if u choose to give up a pet bc u have a baby.....someone should smack u upside the head. U wouldnt give up the baby right?? Then y give up another member if the family?? Exception to this is if the baby has a pet allergy, in which case I hope the pet is given to a friend or family member. I cannot stand seeing people basically dispose of their loving pets due to these circumstances. Having a pet is a 10-20 year commitment, whether it b ur time, love, bed to sleep in, or financial upkeep w vetting. Rant over
