Heres my update on my goal to lose 20 pounds in 60 days from AUGUST. In the first 2 weeks, reducing calories to whats allotted, I lost 10 pounds. Concurrently, I started working out hard every day...including weightlifting. Because of that, I simultaneously lost fat (at least 20 pounds) and GAINED muscle... Not sure what my net/net is on lost fast/gained muscle... I have lost 15 total pounds (and counting), but I have gained a lot of muscle (thats what happens when I lift weights). I have also lost noticeable inches everywhere...and can now get into my medium size clothes again. So the SCALE is not the appropriate measure!!! Remember that!!! Its a journey. Its a lifestyle change. Its hard to get into, but anyone can do it. I resisted for 2 years...2 years that I totally slacked off for the first time in my life. Getting started back up was the hardest thing...but like my friend Beth Wolsleben, I saw a photo of myself and did not like what I saw. So, I took control of my life! Ill try to get a photo of the AFTER on here.
