One is the weakness of most LSD rear axles to counter unwanted wheelspin and why a locking rear diff like the ARB air locker (or a factory version) are so valuable. The second is not to rush these things. On each attempt we just ratcheted up the momentum ever-so-slightly with each pass, trying some steering inputs to find some purchase along the way. Bit by bit we got him to the top. One thing that is hugely important with manual gearboxes is to leave the clutch alone on a gradient. You saw what happened on an early attempt, clutch depressed and suddenly one Patrol going backwards very quickly! Thanks for providing the illustration Mark.
