Heres one for all you who remember the C.B Radio craze... Back in the 70s, a lot of folks in Albert Lea had a C.B. Handle (kinda like facebook before computers). My dad, Keith, wrote a song out of all the names of folks on the C.B. Then he sang it with the Corporation band. Can you identify anyone in the list? (Dads handle was Blue Boy) BREAKIN’ FOR THAT BLUE BOY EVERY NIGHT Well there’s a Swamp Fox, Black Cat and Barnacle Bill. Minnesota Goodie and the Flying Squirrel. Ridge Runner, One Gun, Godfather, too. Everybody’s listening to “22.” Well there’s Hot Rod, Night Owl and Front End Man Short Axe, The Senator, and Old Skipland. They’ve got Cobras and Johnson, Allied, too. Lookin’ for a breaker on “22.” Then there’s Gold Duster, Popcorn and Tinker Bell. Charlie Tuna’s breakin’ for that old Barbell. Big Red, Little Red and Bonnie & Clyde, Gopher and Goliath are “on the side.” Grasshopper, Fishook and Friar Tuck, too. Mama Cat, Moon Dog and Old Ski-Doo. Ma Barker’s listenin’ on channel “10” Cause she’s interstate truck drivers’ number one friend. Well there’s Wolf Man, Junk Man and Double-O Great Dane and Gas Man are on the go. The Shadow’s on the side, now. So’s Engineer. Coyote’s breakin’ but nobody’s here. Gun Cleaner, Water Boy and “TNT” Pile Driver, Packard and old Sweet Pea Hop Sing, Warlock and the Monkey Man Mr. Terrific is doing all he can. Well the Texas Tire Biter you might not have heard But there’s a Golden Eagle and an old Red Bird Road-Runner, DJ and Mr. Clean Night Stalker’s breakin’ in on channel “14.” Bushwacker, Radar and that old Jack Rabbit Everybody’s getting in the C.B. habit. Half Pint, Full Quart and Bed Warmer, too. Lookin’ for a breaker on “22.”
