Heres one for you old timers that lived in Russellville in 1970. The BP gas Station on Clarksville Rd.,,,,In the 60s & 70s there was a gas station there,,,out front under the sign of that gas station there was a bricked in area for maybe a flower bed,, but at this particular time it was used for something else. The owner had a sign out front that read,,,,LIVE BABY RATTLERS,, with an arrow pointed down to the bricked in area,,,several of us kids heard about about,, we all ran down there to see, excited as ever,, heck, Id never seen a live baby rattler. We come up on it, inching ever so close, stretching our necks out to see them,, didnt want to get to close and get bit, as we got braver and moved closer to the pit, we could see inside,,, we fell out laughing,, wasnt a baby rattler snake in there, there where a lot of baby rattlers a infant would play with,,,,I think about that day a lot,,, but what a great gimmick for the owner to have to draw business,, thought I would share,,,:),,,,,I believe Pee wee, Robbie Edwards, Billie Morgan, My brother and I did this
