Heres part 3 of 3 of a list of 50 personal and awkward tidbits about me... 28) I showed up at my college graduation ceremony wearing a hazmat suit driving a truck full of pesticides. 29) I was once mistaken for a Ku Klux Klan member while wearing a beekeeping suit in a rural Texas pasture. An African-American family saw me, slammed on the breaks and then drove away at a frantic rate of speed. 30) My distant cousin Mona Grudt was crowned Miss Universe in 1990. 31) I was once asked to be on an Olympic bobsledding team. 32) I hitchhiked once while living in Atlanta, and the first car to pull over had Bo Diddley as a passenger. 33) I was once the lone person in a recording studio when a producer had a pressing need for backup vocals. I provided all the backup vocals on the condition I went uncredited. 34) I own a rhinestone-studded accordion but can only play Mary had a Little Lamb and Charge. 35) I was once asked to help sail a tugboat to Africa. 36) While on an international flight, a faulty lavatory door gave way and a fellow traveler saw me sitting on the throne. I never got a good look at them, but they got a good look at me. 37) Im proficient at operating bulldozers, excavators and backhoes. 38) I own an original Muppet created by Jim Henson. 39) Ive was one asked to help create a news segment. The segment won an Emmy award. 40) I received an Emmy statuette, which will be displayed in our Theater once this is completed. 41) Im the first chair tenor saxophone in our community band. Of all activities in my current life, the most shocking one is that Im part of a band and I ENJOY being part of the band. Im shocked to be saying this, but the bandmates are awesome. 42) To simplify my life, I replaced all my multi-colored socks withl black ones to eliminate time matching pairs. 43) I once tried my hand at bull riding, sustaining a wrist injury I can still feel today. The bull was a Brahma, and the next person to ride it was killed. 44) While in high school, I volunteered to test the theory that farts can be ignited. I singed my eyebrows. 45) Ive been in 31 countries. 46) I was once held against my will in Japan. 47) I participated in the 2013 Toronto Tractor Pull. 48) Ive been the head score keeper at gymnastic meets. 49) Ive helped castrate thousands of pigs. And perhaps fittingly, my 50th and last personal tidbits is..... 50) My body will one day be on the National Register of Historic Places. Well, sort of. Ill be buried in the Singsaas Cemetery, which is on the National Register.
