Heres some historic audio that I discovered during my Internet travels recently, that you may find interesting. Its from KNX Radio in Los Angeles, the morning of November 22nd 1963, the day JFK was assassinated. Those of you of a certain age, will remember the daily radio program, Arthur Godfrey Time, which was heard mid-mornings on the CBS Radio Network. On this clip, the show was coming from the Kenilworth Hotel in Miami. As I recall, the show aired live in the Eastern & Central time zones, from 10 AM & ran until 11:30 or noon. On the West coast, it was heard via tape delay. This would account for Godfrey & his guests yukking it up, even after the initial KNX bulletin & later, the CBS Net-Alert report broke into regular programming. I have rather vague memory of Arthur Godfrey Time on radio. One day, I was at my Grandmother Cadys house, sitting on her bedroom floor, listening to his program on her 1920s Atwater-Kent floor model radio. I couldnt have been more than 5 or 6 years old at the time. https://youtube/watch?v=g-knRpuq45o
