Heres some pics and a story of Murphy (formerly Webster). We had too many awesome pics of him so I made 2 combined image for you. They seem large in this email but are the apt size for Facebook. I wrote this little account of Murphy and our time with him if you want to use any of it, feel free. All the best with everything Alethea Jones When we got Murphy at the end of 2011 we encountered a very confused, serious and strange little guy. Wed heard that when Victorian Dog Rescue got him, his fur was so bad it had to be shaved right off. His teeth were a mess too. He didnt feel deserving of being indoors, he didnt know what to do with treats. He didnt understand play and had some real issues with larger working dogs (we can only imagine how he had to fend for himself in the countryside). Murphy was unaccustomed to being picked up and couldnt keep balance in the car. But ALL that has changed now. He graduated top of his class in basic and intermediate obedience, LOVES the car and completely blisses out when I give him cuddles - like, he roles onto his back, straightens all four legs out and purrs (yes he purrs) as I tickle his belly. And now he comes to me to ask for cuddles (Ive made it my mandate never to refuse a Murphy request for cuddle). Murphy and his adoptive sister, Rosie arrived in LA 5 weeks ago. We had a month of positive crate training in preparation for the flight and he was cool as a cucumber. They are loving it here. Murphy loves the hikes and the small caged-off dog parks where he really enjoys meeting all the dogs his own size. Hes become the brightest and most sentient of dogs and people stop us on the street to tell us what a lovely guy he is. Hes still a bit of a weirdo but we absolutely love all his quirks.
