Heres some prognosticating for you. Assuming Chattanooga wins out this weekend, the national playoff picture is starting to take shape. The #1 seed will be a team from the Northeast Region. The lowest of the possible region champions has a 2.5 PpG. Chattanooga will be #2 seed, at 2.3 PpG. One of the Midwest teams has the same, but we have a better goal differential. The West teams still in it are Sonoma Sol (2.0, 3GD) and Sacramento Gold 2.08 PpG. Well predict that the Midwest winner is either Lansing United (2.0, 13GD) or Quad City (2.3). Winners there will determine seeds #3 and #4. This ordering would have Chattanooga as hosts of a semifinal match on July 26. A win there would put us travelling somewhere in the northeast (New York or DC, perhaps) or hosting a California team in the national final on August 2. Whats all that mean? You should put in a request to have Friday, August 1 off work. This is finally our year. I believe that we will win!
