Heres something I hope is quite interesting and informative. Scott Manley is a Youtuber who specializes in space games like Star Citizen and Kerbal Space Program. In his regular job he works for Apple as a software engineer. Hes also an amateur astronomer and scientist and has a geeks love of physics. Hes also VERRY Scottish! Ladies should LOVE his accent. (An engineer with a Scottish accent... Now where have those two things intersected before in the past... Hmm. ) Anyway - the video link here is to a video he made where he talks about the physics of flying Space Fighters and shows us how the various methods of portraying them would actually work out in a reasonably consistent physics model. For his purposes hes using Kerbal Space Program to show us the examples with a simple fighter model and a couple of minor cheats (Infinite fuel for one so he doesnt have to worry about that in-game). Anyway - watch and maybe learn some stuff! Maybe itll be useful for your Starship fighter concepts.
