Heres something to chew on. In the past few weeks Ive had 3 different people tell me they didnt want to move to the Viroqua area because of how cliquey the Viroqua (alternative) community is. Part of that is the nature of small towns, part seems to be the overarching reach of so many people moving to the area for the Waldorf school. There are many other reasons too Im sure. Ive lived in the area for 24 years and certainly still feel like an outsider in Viroqua but I live a few coulees east and am not able to attend and interact with a lot of the events and gatherings. Simply an observation.
