Heres the Ream that brought us to the U.S., Johann Eberhard Riehm - TopicsExpress

Heres the Ream that brought us to the U.S., Johann Eberhard Riehm (Ream) in 1717. And a banner that features the youngest of three Andrew Reams who fought in the Revolutionary War; a 17yo drummer boy, his father, & grandfather. The banner was given to me by a 3rd cousin who lives in Reamstown and is the caretaker for the Ream-Rettig Cemetery on the outskirts of town, Beth McCollum. She lives in her parents home, and in the back corner of their property is where Tobias & Julianna Keller Ream built their cabin. Its no longer standing, but it was pretty cool to see the area and imagine it sitting there amongst a stand of trees next to a creek. Hopefully, by the time we have the reunion, the museum renovations will have been completed. Leimen Germany is about an hour & a half North of Stuttgart, where I lived with Angies father. Wish I would have known my heritage when I lived there. We walked or hiked A LOT over the 3 yrs I was there and I would like to think that I walked in some of my ancestors footsteps while there.
