Heres the funny thing, I actually agree that the way politicians run for office in America needs to be changed. 1.) There needs to be a limit on the number of campaign ads a candidate can have. 2.) Any candidate posting a negative ad about their opponent, instead of sticking strictly to how theyll address the issues, needs to be disqualified and their name removed from the ballot. (People dont vote because they dont know who to vote for. They figure one politician is just as bad as the other, and the negative attack ads are to blame for that.) 3.) Candidates need to use their own money to run for office, not government nor corporate funding; and the government pay for any position needs to be minimum wage, paid by the state theyre to represent, with an annual review by their constituents. That way it keeps the greed-mongers out of government and the positions go back to being public servant offices like they were meant to be.
