Heres the kind of Apostasy that taking over the church. The guy is David Platt is a Reformed theology pastor who was recently elected as Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) president of the SBC International Mission Board. Reformed Theology holds to a works salvation. How in the world a works Reformed pastor ever got elected in the SBC is beyond me. In this clip Platt basically is saying that those who believe in Jesus and pray to receive Jesus as their savior are not saved because according to his reformed theology salvation is by works - what he erroneously refers to as discipleship. The Lighthouse Trails Research Project wrote a great article about Platt entitled “Newly Elected Southern Baptist Convention Mission Board President, David Platt, Says “Sinner’s Prayer” Unscriptural and Superstitious.” which is how heard about him.
