Heres the latest from France and the #EdhecSailingCup with thanks to Thomas GAZEAU for the report: The EDHEC Sailing Cup comes to end today, and the US is on the starting line for final races. Georgetown and Tufts both ranked very well in their class (respectively J80 and Grand surprise) and have been selected for the races today. Tufts is 6th overall and 2nd student crew. The crew will sail the final race on Longtze against 9 other boats. Georgetown is also 6th and 4th student crew and will sail the final race on GS (Grand Soleil) against 14 boats. We are expecting stiff competition on those boats and the weather seems to be on our side! I keep my fingers crossed to see them beat French sailors. Pictures of Drexel, that sailed on GS and also of Tufts and the Swiss team (defenders for students and international ranking). This afternoon will the award ceremony take place and the student winner will come to Larchmont for next years Storm Trysail Foundation Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta. Best regards, Thomas
