Heres the latest on the #EtiwandaFire: Burned acreage is holding steady at 1,000 acres and 0% containment, with little growth since noon. Mandatory evacuations have been lifted, but voluntary ones are still in place. Chaffey College, Los Osos High School, Etiwanda High School, Alta Loma High School, Rancho Cucamonga High School, Day Creek Intermediate School, Banyan Elementary, Golden Elementary and Caryn Elementary will be closed tomorrow. Other nearby schools may keep students indoors, depending on air quality. Central Park (11200 Base Line) remains open as a shelter. 700+ firefighters are battling the blaze with help from 55 engines, 19 hand crews and four bulldozers. Firefighting aircraft were unable to fly today due to high winds. No structures have been reported lost or damaged, although a fence burned. Omnitrans and Access will be picking up at their normal stops.
