Heres the latest video release from my album Scarecrow - Someone - TopicsExpress

Heres the latest video release from my album Scarecrow - Someone Elses Mind. If youve heard the song before youll know where Im coming from, but for those of you who have not - heres a little bit of background to it without going into too much detail. Essentially, the song was written in reaction to news I received about a man I knew (but not terribly well), whod taken his own life. The news hit me surprisingly hard, given that I wasnt great friends with this man or didnt know him very well, but yet I felt so sad and sorry for him and his family. All I knew of him was a very popular, warm and genuine guy who on the face of it all seemed like a perfectly normal happy man, and yet he had taken his own life. The news of his death made me start thinking about that old cliché Never judge a book by its cover - which rings very true as nobody truly knows whats going on inside the mind of another. I wondered how in the modern age in which we live in with all the mobile phones, Tweeters and Facebookers (I get the irony) that people can be truly lost and alone and how we can be so busy and distracted by the lights and colours that we dont notice, or dont take the time to throw an arm around a friend and ask How are you? Id really like to thank and give honourable mention to the extremely talented Kevin McGloughlin who produced this video. Kevin is a Sligo based videographer and the man responsible for the stunning visuals in the video. When I first saw Kevins work I was captivated by it (check out Villages of Ether by Idiot Songs on Vimeo). I was delighted to get the opportunity to work with him on this project about bringing death to life. I am very pleased with what he has produced for this video and I hope you all enjoy it too #SomeoneElsesMind #Suicide #TalkToSomeone
