Heres the letter I wrote to the editor which was in todays Reading Eagle. News Letter: Typical liberal hypocrisy Sunday August 3, 2014 12:01 AM Editor: Concerning the stories and letters about those who protested illegal immigration at Bethany Childrens Home, from what I read, the protesters made it clear they werent protesting against the children, they were protesting against the policies of our government, policies that not only have failed to stop this invasion but also have encouraged it. Most of the writers tried to use the Bible to chastise the protesters by saying that Jesus would encourage us to take the children in. I would agree with that. Yet how many of these writers have taken these children into their homes? How many of them have reached into their own pockets and given money to help these children? This is typical liberal hypocrisy. Liberals wont help children; they want the government, which takes money from us, to help these kids. What bothers me is that there are people, including children, waiting years to come to our country legally while others break the law by coming across the border illegally and are put in the front of the line. At a time when our government cant afford to take care of our veterans and fix our roads and bridges, how can it afford to take care of 60,000 illegals?
