Heres the most recent and I really do not have a clue what to do about it. My husband was placed in custody on charges (from jury trial) of Substantial Battery a class I felony on December 13th. He is currently (since December 19th) in Dodge Correctional Institution. The judge was to amend the judgment of conviction. We were told that Randy Lunda was given too much time for the crime the jury convicted him of. Instead of giving him less time the judge amended his charges to Aggravated Battery class H. I do not understand why this is even possible. You cant get charged with one crime, be convicted, and then the charges change. Can you? This whole thing is ridiculous. I want to move forward the best I can. I want my husband to have as much peace as possible where he is, but he is getting screwed over and I truly have no clue what to do about it.
