Heres the scenario: You want to build a house. A really expensive house...say $10 million or so. You dont actually have the money on hand and you dont have a job that will support the payments....but you sign the contract and you start building it anyway. Then when you go to the bank for a mortgage and the banker asks how youre going to pay for it, your response is dont worry Ill find the money. Thatd be really dumb right? That in fact would be epic stupidity and one would have to be a fiscal moron to do that,right? Well.... read on because that is in essence what Cuomo and Co. are doing with the Tappan Zee Bridge. Tappan Zee I think being an Indian word for get ready for your tolls to triple at least!! Welcome to the Field of Dreams Bridge folks: If you build it, they will come....over it and pay massive tolls. Thomas Madison, director of the Thruway testified at a legislative hearing that we do not have a complete financing plan for the Bridge. In the real world hed have been fired before completing that sentence. He then went on to say they are going to have.....wait for it..... A TASK FORCE to tell them what the tolls should be!!! Oh joy! Another Cuomo task force!! Whatever would we do without task forces? Question: If they need a task force to tell them what the tolls should be, which is THEIR JOB as executives of the Thruway Authority....why do we need any executive at the Thruway because CLEARLY they are fiscally illiterate! Now for the truth. The Cuomo regime is lying, which is no surprise as they do that every day. They do have a plan. They absolutely know that tolls are going up. WAY UP. The task force is a diversion to buy time until after the elections just as the health study is just a diversionary tactic to avoid making a decision on fracking. Notice in the article that Madison says there are no plans to raise tolls this year. Operative word being this. Next year they will go up in a big way and will climb yearly after that. Read the article. Itll make your head spin. NY is at this point not being governed. It is being ruled. And the crew ruling it will say or do anything to divert the attention of the public away from what is really going on in order to get Cuomo re-elected.
