Heres the thing about eat less- exercise more- the more you exercise, the more fuel your body needs. Your brain and hormone system send signals in response to this to make you more hungry and eat more food. If you can be very disciplined about what you eat in response to this (whole foods only, no processed or junk foods) then this strategy may work. But if you have tried the eat less-exercise more strategy and it didnt work for you, dont feel bad. Its doesnt work for *most* people. Better strategies are to either 1.) eat less, move less or 2.) eat more, move more. Because whole foods are lower in calories, but higher in nutrients, on a Paleo diet, you tend to eat fewer calories without trying and without going hungry. If you maintain your current movement program, but start taking in fewer calories, you will effortlessly create a calorie deficit that leads to fat loss.
