Heres to wise women!!! Im finishing a day of writing. The last thing on my list was to answer questions for an interview on success. The questions make me think pretty deeply. Im sitting here realizing how different we are as we get older, wiser, more reflective, hence, more aware of who we really are and of what truly matters to us. Im sitting here with a big smile on my face, realizing that all my friends who are 50 or older... ok, maybe 45 or older... ok, maybe its not so much age as it is attitude... are women I really REALLY admire. At a certain point in life weve lived through some serious crap and come out on the other side beautifully. Weve reached a point where were not worried about what people think of us so much anymore. We just are who we are. We love ourselves and, thus, people love us.... the people who matter anyway. We dont stress out like we used to. We are gorgeous because we are who we are. We have boundaries. We know what we want and what we wont tolerate. Weve lived through it, learned from it and got the t-shirt. Now we find ourselves drawn to women like us. We want real friendships. Were not interested in superficial. We want honesty. We want to laugh, we want to love and we want to live on our terms. And we like hanging out with women who are real. Im just so proud to know these women and Im THRILLED to be one of them!! Heres to you, my awesome, wise and wonderful friends!!! Consider this post dedicated to YOU....
