He concludes this list with deeds he has done on behalf of the people God himself cares for like the widows and orphans. The three friends remain silent after this speech, but the youthful Elihu take his chance to impart his wisdom. In Psalms, we pray a song pleading for mercy from the LORD who is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Psalm 86).
