Heres what I learned after attending my first Home Decor and Vintage Style Pop Up Market. The trends : Primitive is HOT !! Showrooms full of primitive style reproductions - but you will search antique markets, flea markets and shop from your trusted vintage dealers to get your pieces (pinky swear). Boots,boots and more boots - I know that is clothing but they were everywhere - even on peoples feet. I think I was the only one wearing sensible shoes. If you dont have at least one handbag made from a burlap bag, seed bag or feed bag, then you arent even near the cool point territory (got a few surpises for you along those lines) Kitchen towels need to have at least one graphic or witty saying on them, country, primitive style. Lots of lace, ribbon, burlap creations. Decorate with vintage, every change you get, but mix and mash it all with your new stuff. Poo-pourri is apparently something to help poo smell like roses and no I didnt go near it, just took their card. Signs, signs and more signs, mix and match, flat metal, big letters, more letters and more signs. (well you know who has you covered there) Im sure there was a lot more but I got the vapors and had to go to the car.
