Heres what I sent: To: Yonatan Halevy, MD Director General Shaare Zedek Hospitals Dear Dr. HaLevy: I was terribly distressed to hear of the incalculable shortage of Jewish medical doctors in your area. If only our people were interested in fields such as medicine and health science, then we would not be behind the rest of the world in medical care and technology! But worse is the fact that, after deep soul searching and analysis of the the best needs of the mostly Jewish patients of your facilities, you had no choice but to re-hire the Arab doctor placed on leave after he called IDF soldiers murderers during Operation Defensive Shield. I can understand why you thought hed be the best man for the position. It was his industriousness; after all, when put on leave, did he merely sit on his hands as some Jew doctor would? Oh, no! He used his medical education and rapier-like mind to work hard, diligently penning and publishing a Der Stürmer-like caricature of Benjamin Netanyahu with the blood of Gaza’s children dripping from his mouth. Well, at least its not like you have him in an area of the hospital where he can make Mengele-like first contact with sick and injured Jews and instantly decide who lives and who dies, who suffers and who is cared for. You know, an area like emergency medicine... David Feder Chicago
