Heres where I stand as a guy who has openly never cared for LBJ - - TopicsExpress

Heres where I stand as a guy who has openly never cared for LBJ - Ive never once denied his talent... His style of play is not my preference, just because hes one of the most talented players ever doesnt mean he has to be liked. Am I glad hes back?... Duh - yes... LeBron being back means championship expectations, and damn it, thats all that a fan should truly care about. Even prior to the trades, this team had enough talent to contend and win... so okay, that will never be able to be proven and its easier to say they needed help based on the record at hand... especially weighed against the expectations. However, a team that consists of PG Kyrie Irving SG Shumbart SF Shawn Marion PF Kevin Love C Timofey Mozgov and a bench with PF/C Tristan Thompson SG/SF Mike Miller SG/SF JR Smith... that team alone is a team that can play in the finals. LeBron coming back - there is no better roster when you look at skill set and history of the players. The talent is there... when you play fundamental basketball.... you dont need to worry about chemistry as much. Thats why I hate the whole chemistry talk for this team... I dont need to know how to pass the ball to the open man, to set screens, how to hit the big man in the post. I know to move with out the ball if Im on the wing. I know to run the floor. To not play the ball, to keep the ball in front of me. Lack of chemistry can never be an excuse as to not winning. Chemistry doesnt make your jumper all of the sudden go in, or make you jump higher. Talent does. When stats become the focus - it becomes about a player, a me, a person; Someone has to take the hit in stats. Someone has to learn to play differently. Lot of players struggle with that. People have to learn to play around LeBron. Why does everyone have to sacrifice their skills and numbers to play alongside LeBron James? Can LeBron be part of an offense instead of being the offense? No sane person can say this team sucks. Too much damn talent to deny what this Cavaliers team can become. For this Juggernaut to start living, they all need to go out and just play the damn game, the right way. If this team never evolves, it will solely be on LeBrons shoulders. Hes the leader, lead by example. Go out and shut the critics up. Period. The only thing left to do is go out and play like men. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are offensive studs, Id like to see LeBron come in and play along side of them. If LeBron doesnt become an aggressive attacker of the rim again, he will need to adjust to not having the ball as much. Let Love and Irving create shots for him. The only way this team fails is if it the sole focus is of LeBron James and his accolades... the focus needs to be everyone playing as a team. No individual has ever won NBA championship alone, no player has ever had his name solely printed as the winner of the Finals Hardware... Teams win championships and team names are engraved on the hardware. If we dont start playing great basketball, Ill never be more disappointed with a team than this one... and by the way: I have said since day one, that Ill not have one concern about this team winning this year until I see them forcing elimination in a playoff series. This Center we just grabbed doesnt suck, Shumbart doesnt suck - Irving and Love are two of the best at their positions, both arguably the best. JR Smith and Shawn Marion are quality veterans that still have a good skill set. No more excuses... #Cleveland #Cavs https://youtube/watch?v=Rn49FohkzM0
