Heres yet another inspiring story of a student who will be pursuing post graduation in Human Resources starting tomorrow. I was asked to meet this girl by a renowned social activist in Chennai and after meeting her I just couldnt believe her achievements. She has two Limca book of world records against her name for pulling 5 Omni vans using her teeth and one more for an environmental initiative. A national fencing champion and has the highest ranking of being in the 5th position in Asia and 72nd position in the world. Has won numerous medals for the state and the country and she is also a BE graduate. She came to meet me for a job but then I realised that she is a different material altogether. While speaking to her she mentioned this incident. She was in Class 6th when she attempted to pull a mini bus using her teeth. She had practiced hard and pulled the bus over 10 times before the actual event but for some reason on the D-day the bus just didnt move. It was causing major embarrassment for her and most importantly she lost one of her tooth but then she told me this I was thinking Anna, how is it possible that the bus is not moving while it moved in the same spot till that morning. I told myself that its not possible and went around the bus only to note that there was a small stone in front of one of the tire. I just threw the stone and pulled the bus several meters and created a new record And guess what all this happened when she was in class 6. I was so impressed with her that I took that huge file full of paper cuttings and certificates and showed it to all my friends in office. She took upto fencing because someone said she will be a misfit there and proved that person wrong by being the first fencing champion from TN.What a spirit and thats why I believe she will go on to make history. For all those folks who want to hire a go getter, a champion in all ways, pls wait for two years and you will see a true champion. All this was done with her parents struggling to make two ends meet and it did hurt when she said that there were several competitions she missed for lack of sponsors. As always we dont reveal the identity of the person but do wish her well for a great future ahead as she starts a new innings tomorrow.
