Heres your Prairie Radio Network of Sports Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 29th- Monmouth-Roseville Athlete of the Week: Titan Senior Football player, Martel Hunter. Martel capped his tremendous 4 year run at Monmouth-Roseville with 206 yards rushing and a touchdown against state power, Quincy Notre Dame. That rushing total put Hunter at 4,555 yards and 58 TDs for his career. United Athlete of the Week: Red Storm football Junior, Chris Hennenfent. Chris finished the 2013 season with a flourish as he led the Red Storm in rushing in a loss against Stark County with 138 yards and a touchdown. Hennenfent also led United for the season with 677 yards on the ground with 4 touchdowns. West Central High School Athlete of the Week: Heat Senior football player, Andy Lewis. Andy ran for 116 yards on just 13 carries and scored 2 touchdowns in the Heats week 9 win over West Prairie. West Central won 3 of their last 4 contests to finish the season. Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is brought to you by Flatt Tire Service in Stronghurst. Galesburg Athlete of the Week: Silver Streak Junior volleyball player, Rachel Walter. Rachel led the Streaks in assists, once again, in every one of Galesburgs last four matches. She totalled 51 helpers in those contests in which the team went 2 and 2, including an appearance in the Class 3A Regional Semi-finals.
