Heres your daily inspiration for today, December 28 Urge to Serve Service is a generous way to live. It requires you giving of yourself to another or to a situation. Yet it is part of your souls purpose to live in service. Mahatma Gandhi said, The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Sacred service is a spiritual practice because it is love manifested. It looks for nothing in return. You do it because it is who you are the hands of God. To serve is your nature, and you practice sacred service because you have an inner urge to serve. You have so much to give, and there are so many opportunities around you to share who you are. Being in the generous flow of life will bring good feelings, abundance, and healing into your world and those you touch. But that is not why you do it ... its an offshoot of being an expression of God and making a positive difference in the world. Reflection: Each day, look around your world to see where you can be of service. It can be small, like letting someone go ahead of you at the checkout counter, or you can pick up some trash, organize a group to clean up an orphanage or your spiritual community, go build wells in a third-world country, or just find a little extra time to give to your children. Large or small, youll find a soul satisfaction that will energize your spirit. Affirmation: I love being of service!
