Here’s a 70s back-story for you. In 1971 I was part of a five-man group that was put together to go on tour with Jose Feliciano. We assembled at the huge Hondo Crouch Ranch in Luckenbach, TX. Hondo was a patron of the arts and bought Luckenbach, TX that same year. We all lived in the ranch house and rehearsed in the barn for 4 weeks. Jose decided to cancel the tour and the band broke up. Here’s what happened to the 5 members: Mike Williams (went with the Serendipity Singers), Bud Cockrell (became one of the lead singers and bass player for Pablo Cruise), Tommy Aldridge (became the drummer for Black Oak Arkansas and now with Ozzy Osbourne), Bo Wagner and Bruce Blackman formed the group, Starbuck. That’s 5 for 5. It doesn’t get any better than that.
