Here’s a basic explanation of how important the Seed to Seal process is. First, when Young Living grows their seeds, they do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides on any of their farms. They take great care to oversee the growing process of each plant, to cultivate & harvest them at exactly the right stage of the plant’s life and at the right time of day to get the best possible oil. When they distill those plants to extract the oils, they have state-of-the-art equipment that is unsurpassed in technique & technology! They only use nonferrous stainless steel distillers which dont react with the essential oils. They make sure that the water they use for steam distilling is not treated with chemicals designed to remove the minerals from the water. Instead, they first put their water through a natural, non-chemical filtration system to clean minerals out of the water. Proper temperature, pressure, length of time, equipment, and batch size are also carefully monitored throughout the distillation process. Finally in the distillation process, Young Living only uses a first distillation for all of their essential oils. Most companies use 2nd, 3rd, or 4th distillations in their essential oils or a complete distillation which is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th distillation combined, resulting in a MUCH less effective oil with a greater potential for undesirable results & even toxicity. Young Living has the highest standard that Ive ever seen in any other essential oil company!
