Here’s a bit of a puzzle. I was taking a few photographs after last night’s hail-storm here in Boronia and got a couple of unusual shots. It was just after sunset, so the light-levels made it difficult to take a clear picture. With the flash turned off, the picture showed the twilight sky, but the image lacked clarity. When I turned on the flash, I got three images of some kind of swirling cloud. I didnt notice it on the first picture I took, but in the second it appeared to be right in front of me. I thought it might be a product of water on the viewfinder, so I wiped it clean and took another picture. This one appeared to show the cloud moving away. Just to make sure the problem was not water on the viewfinder I conducted an experiment this evening. I took a couple of pictures with water on the viewfinder under the same conditions, but the results were very different. Any ideas? (6 photos in all)
