Chocolate Caramel Corn: 8 c. popcorn ½ c. peanuts (optional) ½ c. brown sugar ¼ c. butter 2 tbsp light corn syrup ½ tsp vanilla extract ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp baking soda ½ c. milk chocolate chips ½ tsp shortening 1.Grease cookie sheet. 2.Mix peanuts in popcorn in large bowl, set aside. 3.In a microwave safe bowl, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Microwave four minutes, or until bubbles form. Than stir in baking soda. Pour over popcorn mix and gently stir. Pour over greased cookie sheet. 4.In a microwave safe bowl, melt shortening and chocolate chips for 90 seconds or until melted, stirring once half way through. Drizzle over popcorn mixture. Let cool, than enjoy!
