With the help of physical therapy, he could drive, work and live on his own. In October, Ficarra, with the assistance of a mechanical exoskeleton, walked down the aisle in his own wedding and moved many who attended his wedding to tears. His story serves as an example for other people who live with disabilities to remain positive in life and to always set goals for themselves to work towards to.
