Hermann Weather Hard freeze Sunday night in the low 20s, than - TopicsExpress

Hermann Weather Hard freeze Sunday night in the low 20s, than its time to start hardening off the early transplants next week. For the crazies among you, it is still too early to put out any transplants until after the hard freeze Sunday night. Tuesday onward is good for planting lettuce, cole crops, onions, or other hardy spring plants with protection. You take your chances a bit but the two week after Sunday look to be fluctuating between normal and above normal. After that April looks very average. The Current Weather Pattern The blocking high over the Pacific Northwest has finally broken down enough to let the jet stream take more of a straight path across Canada, dipping southward in the New England States.. The Northeast Atlantic and Canadian Maritimes will still be very cold, and below normal cold will remain across Canada north of the jetstream. The Southwest United States is dry and warm.and that is beginning to extend into Texas and Oklahoma toward Missouri. We will be getting a bit of that warmth for a two week period. If the jet stream stays in its current position it will be a good year for early stuff (under protection). It the jet stream doesnt stay where it is, all bets are off. This weather pattern promises to be rather windy.
