Hes not fat. Hes big boned. Shes not fat. Shes fluffy. I hear this every day in practice. The reality is, over 50% of todays pets are overweight or obese. One of the biggest contributors to obesity in pets is the high carbohydrate diet regimen that most pets are fed. I have had an extremely high success rate getting pets to lose weight, just by taking them off carbohydrate-laden, dry kibble. Replace the kibble diet with appropriate portions of a high meat diet and the weight will come off. Use low-fat meats like chicken breast or very lean beef, mixed with vegetables and a calcium supplement. You can also use the recipe for lean puploaf (see the video in the left column under food webinars). #obesity, #fatcats, #fatdogs, #petfood, #diet
