Hes not the Black President or the Democratic President. Hes our President, The President of these United States. Agree or disagree with the politics, celebrate or be irritated by the man or his methods, admire or be agitated by his rhetoric, congratulate or condemn his track record, accept or denounce his values, embrace or reject the color of his skin, but at the end of the day, we submit to the leadership of the office and respect the position, just as weve done with other presidents that we have agreed or disagreed with. Ive never seen a president more blatantly disrespected and I appreciate his highroadness. Do I believe he is the perfect president? No. None of them are or will be and neither would we be perfect in office. Do I think he has made tremendous strides, has bettered the country, is a man to be respected, will be better valued in years to come in reflection and has endured incredible opposition with grace and resilience? Certainly! People can hurl insults, can laugh at you, oppose you and resent you, but I am thankful that no one can undo history and when we stand, we never stand alone. God bless America and the President and our future. Lord, make us careful.
