Hey- my name is Jim or PJ as some call me. This page is far from developing into what it could and should be yet so please visit the PnC-Rx website for further info until we are further along here. It is my hope and prayer this ministry expands to redeeming former pastors and encouraging potential pastors to step in the gap for churches and pastors needing a rest stop (Sunday out of the pulpit). Are you aware burnout in ministry is an epidemic? In the Winter 2014 edition of LEADERSHIP JOURNAL readers were polled readers were asked Have you experienced burnout in ministry/ Over 70% answered YES. Less than 10% said NO; Nearly 20% were not sure if was burnout or something else they were experiencing. Over 70% Anne Jackson around five years ago wrote the book Mad Church Disease addressing the issue of burnout in ministry. Finishing well in ministry has become an ever increasing concern. There is a great opportunity for former pastors to network together to give our located pastors a rest stop (Sunday out of the pulpit). The multistaff churches usually have the resources and personnel to address the need for a Sunday off but the small/ rural church often doesnt have that luxury. Supply pastors are plentiful in some areas but not as much as you think when the need is now. PnC-Rx is a ministry outreach that is cross-denominational recognizing that burnout affects ministry leaders regardless of your denominational tag or title. What we believe is based upon two uncompromising convictions: 1). Bible authority- the Word of God is simply that -truth, absolute truth, true truth if you like. The final authority in all things pertaining to the church. 2) Jesus Lordship- Jesus alone saves, there is salvation in no other. To be heavenbound is a relationship with Jesus as Lord. Certainly there are other concerns of churches and pastors concerning other doctrines and practices but these two are foundational to this ministry. I believe the written Word must be wed to the Living Word (Holy Spirit) to see the kind of fruit that honors God through the church. Leading by example instead of having doctrinal debates over matters that are not matters of salvation. Plainly said, these are absolute truth- Bible authority & Jesus Lordship otherwise the gospel we preach is compromised. I say this because these two convictions are under constant attack in western culture. Tolerance (as defined by popular opinion), political correctness and Bible ignorance cripples a church. Unity at any price is not Biblical and not what I promoting. I am promoting the Bride of Christ- the church- the followers of Jesus, not His fans. This ministry is presently seeking to serve the Kentucky, Indiana & Illinois area within a reasonable radius of where the three states connect on the Ohio River. (reasonable depends upon several factors) Are you aware of a pastor who needs encouragement? Is there a church in the tri-state that needs some help keeping the pulpit supplied while seeking Gods will for their next pastor? Let us know. Let us help.
