Hey! A good friend of mine recently started an education company/website called Socratic. Think of it like an education-focused cross between YouTube, a forum and Yahoo Answers. Theyve been successful in raising funding and are already gaining popularity in the USA but are looking to expand internationally. The way we go through school/college/university over here is pretty different to the USA (and a lot of us are from different countries too) so I suggested reaching out to some students to see if they could get some feedback from the international community. The site is 100% free to use (and always will be), at the moment they only have sections for Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Calculus but are expanding into more subjects. Calculus has a lot of cross-over with CompSci and Ive actually been using it to keep sharp over summer with some of the maths weve learned. Theyre trying to do something really fantastic with education, improving it for those with access to it and giving access to those who dont. Literally any feedback at all would be fantastic - Ill be forwarding anything here straight to their development team and if youve got a lot to say or experience working with education Id be happy to put you directly in touch.
