Hey! A new week means new beer and wine. We have some exciting selections for you this week: Burnaby Brewers Dageraad Brewing have been turning heads with their awesome Belgian style beers, So we were super excited when they dropped off their newest beer Anno 2014 a Belgian style golden-strong ale brewed with European and and B.C hops, fresh pears from Keremeos and coriander from India. Great with savoury holiday foods, or cellared for enjoyment in the new year. The Brewery Creek team Cant wait to try this one! Victorias Vancouver Island Brewery has two new bombers on our shelves: a classic Bohemian Pilsner with a light malt body and a bit of Saaz hop spiciness and Mile High Mountain Ale refreshing red ale brewed with generous helping of NW hops. Both are balanced styles that are perfect for a variety of food pairings. Locals Bomber Brewing have paired with legends Stone Brewing Co. to produce Blood From a Stone a Red Rye IPA. Yeast and hops from south of the border meet malty wort brewed right here in Vancouver. Rye spice, rich malts and tons of fruit from American and Austrailian hops are all present in this tasty brew. Its Barley Wine time again! This time its Driftwood Brewerys classic Old Cellar Dweller Hoppy, malty and best left untouched for as long as you can manage. A winter classic. We have a unique style from Portlands Gigantic Brewing Company. Peace Loving Decoy is an Americanized Vienna Ale classic European malts meets a bit of NW hop innovation in this session-able flavour filled brew. Seattles Elysian Brewing gets raunchy on us with their Mens Room Black an imperial red with a huge hop presence. Spinnakers Joins the winter wax capped brews with their unique Ortega blonde. Brewed with freshly crushed local Ortega grape juice from Victorias Muse winery. This blonde ale is complex and heavy on the citrus North Vancouvers Green Leaf brewing have a new addition to our shelves LoLo Stout is a dry stout with chocolate and roast at the forefront. Albertas Big Rock has dropped off their latest 6 pack. The creatively named Winter Spice Ale is uh.. a spiced winter ale. Flavours of winter and spiciness abound. We have a slew of new wines to tell you about as well: Californias Russian River region is a top Pinot producer and Belle Glos makes some of the finest. Their Dairyman Pinot Noir is rich with bright cherry flavours and a hint of cola. This is a truly first class wine and a perfect gift for Pinot Noir lovers. Mission Hill Winery requires no introduction. We have stocked their products for awhile, but their Reserve Merlot is a BC classic that has set a standard for the style in the region. Tons a of black cherry, some espresso and those classic French Oak flavours from 12 months of barrel aging. Okanagan Falls Blue Mountain has produced some of British Columbias finest white wines; Their reserve Chardonnay continues in this tradition. Complex and robust (but not overbearing). 50% aged in stainless steel and 50% aged in French oak. This wine can be consumed fresh, or laid down for years. Last, but not least, we have a new Malbec/Syrah blend from the Maipo region of Chile Leon. Classic Malbec flavours of Blackberry and Chocolate are rounded out by peppery notes courtesy Syrah.
