Hey All, Nessa here…. one of your new Royal Canal Clean Up Liaison Officers! …. Fancy name eh? My first title! No honestly thanks to the IWAI, Frank, Lena, Mary & I are now indemnified under their insurance so if any of you decide to throw yourselves into the canal you can blame me or them! Joking aside Im delighted that this project is going ahead, thanks to the work of Lisa, Kasia, the rest of the crew at Volunteer Ireland, the IWAI, Waterways Ireland, DCC and of course you all. Ill be at Cross Guns Bridge bright and early tomorrow morning (got the speech prepared!!). No hopefully Lisa will do it at least one more time… Im loud but no speech maker! Ill bring my trailer again so well only have to lug the rubbish half the distance and when the weather gets warmer Ill bring my little boat out again and get some of the rubbish on the far bank. Any of you wanting to join me just let me know. Tomorrow Im going to try and tackle some of the rubbish in the ditch that runs along the high wall of the Glasnevin Industrial Estate to Broom Bridge. So if any of you feel commando enough to join me I think youll need your wellies and clothes that wont catch on the brambles. Oh and dont forget to join us in Hedigans after for tea and coffee, another thanks there due to Louise the manager in Hedigans. They do a damn good lunch there too…. plug, plug. Hasta manyana Amigos!
