Hey All So ive just updated my artist bio on sound cloud, about to hit 1000 followers stoked !! More so My mates are doing quite well on their music projects !!!! feedback on this would be great !! -------------------- BPM 70 - 150 ----------------------- Shantaraam is a project that aims on bridging the divide, the sounds encompasses a wide spectrum of eastern influences blended with modern electronic instruments. The influences range from Sufi, Muslim, Jewish , Persian(farsi), Hindi, Urdu, and oriental. The inception of this new project is attributed to the inspiration of many things including Gregory David Roberts Book Shantaram; as well as a deep passion to spread the sound of spiritual ascension, the music that i hope to deliver aims on bringing awareness to the divide between the ethnicities and religious factions caused by genocide, war and strife. This Shantaraam project is a wake up call for everyone to realize that the power of change only comes from within and if we are to move forward and sustainably in todays deteriorating planet then we can find common ground in the harmony of the universal language of music. The time for Middle Peace is now. ------------------------------ Tech Aid Project Helming from an island in the Arabian Gulf known for being a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures, this diversity is heavily reflected in Tech Aid’s eclectic arsenal of sounds. From minimal to trance, techno to psychedelic, Tech Aid’s range reflects not only an appreciation of EDM’s many genres but more importantly his daredevil approach to playing. An unceasing underdog unafraid of pushing boundaries, or flat out breaching them. Having been influenced by the psychedelic movement of his country; He has opened and closed for the first Lunar event in Bahrain ushering in a new era of psychedelic to the little island, now hosting infamous psychedelic acts such as Protoculture, Parasense, EVP, Sonic Species. Thus further taking the Tech Aid project twice into Dubai !! In Melbourne, Tech Aid established a name for him-self through a circuit of infamous house parties and Renegade dj sets playing 5 to even 15 hour sets, starting off with some minimal tech building up to hard-driving full on psy trance. What truly sets him apart, however, is his transformation of regular sets into dynamic performances. Equipped with bewitching tunes and boundless energy, refusing to confine himself behind the decks, preferring to interact consistently with the crowd with a skilful approach to audio effect wizardry and live remixing. Tech Aid has had the honour of sharing stages with some of Psy trance and Technos most reputable producers. Nawaf Al Alawi is now a recognised as local favourite amongst the Melbourne’s psy-trance and progressive crowd. This has lead him to keynote main stage performances at 2011/2012 Strawberry Fields , Yellow Sunshine Festival, The Saint Kilda Festival, Opening Tree Of Life Australia / Turkey, Eclipse 2012 FNQ (Renegade set), Eclipse Festival Bahrain, Tribal Rhythms NSW 2013, Maitreya Festival 2013/2014 . He is responsible alongside his closest mates for starting The Big Shabangabang a conscience event centred on alleviation of human suffering and charity contributions. Other accomplishments include running Volatile Sounds on kiss FM (2012 - 2013) and running events under Warrior Within, Planet Dooftune and the Singu1arity collective. ------ Music is my life, charity is my passion, love is my vice.
